A stormy wind blows wild across the grassy hills and rocky cliffs of the Faroe Islands. In the 1860s, the life of young fisherman Baldur is turned upside down when he rescues Danish seafarer Helge from certain death in the raging sea. The two men quickly get to know each other and fall so deeply in love that their passion cannot even be conquered by vile Death. Kasper Kalle expands his historical romance, gorgeously shot on location in the Faroe Islands, into a pitch-black Scandinavian gothic, filled to the brim with folk-horror motifs and carried by natural, heart-wrenching performances from lead actors Egor Venned (himself a Faroese) and Pilou Asbæk. Pack your tissues! (Markus Keuschnigg)

On 25/09 in attendance of: Kasper Kalle Skovsbøl (director), Lars Bredo Rahbek (producer)
