Macon Blair is an American actor, writer, director, and producer. Early on, he formed a creative duo with writer/director Jeremy Saulnier, which spawned the horror comedy Murder Party (2007) and the thriller-drama Blue Ruin (2013). Macon’s many acting credits include the dark horror comedy Hellbenders (SLASH 2013) and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. His directing debut was the dark comedy I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, starring Melanie Lynskey and Elijah Wood, who also accepted the role of His Creepy Brother in Macon’s sophomore feature, the highly anticipated The Toxic Avenger reboot. In addition to his moving-image work, he has also written comic book stories for Marvel, Dark Horse and Image, and, together with illustrator Joe Flood, is the creator of the graphic novels Hellcity and Long Road to Liquor City.
