Too Many Beasts

A bizarre invasion hits a French village: giant boars lay waste to cornfields and spark a bloody war between farmers and hunters. A year later, who should turn up in charge of the police investigation but oddball Fulda (Alexis Manenti, Les Misérables). Swiss-Italian director Sarah Arnold makes a coarse, kooky feature debut with this crime comedy, starring Ella Rumpf (Raw) and topped off with a trippy, drug-fueled escapade. (Leonie Markovics)
