After a mysterious accident leaves her eccentric-artist father hovering between life and death, sound engineer Joan (Sasha Frolova) returns to the remote family estate. The old mansion and its sprawling garden stir up repressed childhood memories; then, as night falls, Joan begins hearing noises from somewhere deep inside the house. Old audio cassettes and Super 8 movies lead her toward a disturbing revelation. Henry Chaisson’s (Antlers, Servant) gothic-horror feature debut is a masterclass in atmospheric sound design: noises, frequencies, and ghostly voices weave an ever-tightening web of dread—hauntingly beautiful. (Leonie Markovics)
