An accident leaves Diana damaged and suffering from memory loss. She and her husband Homer travel to a facility tucked away in the woods to seek its innovative experimental treatments. The more time the couple spends at this anachronous retreat, the more distant they grow and the more Diana doubts both the nature of things and the state of reality. Honey Bunch is a strange hybrid of gothic and psychological horror, with a few ampoules of medical thriller steeped in a fairy-tale atmosphere with gorgeous set pieces—a hall of mirrors of identities and memories, like an iridescent will-o’-the-wisp from the mid-1970s, shot on analog film and animated by a fantastic score.
