We support the next generation of genre-cinephiles! For the second time, this year’s SLASH offers an exclusive and practice-oriented experience for young cinema enthusiasts between the ages of 16 and 19 who are particularly interested in the genres of horror, science fiction and fantasy: As part of the GEN SLASH youth jury, the 7 participants will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the festival, watch selected films and present an award to one of them.
Applicants should have time for jury activities during the festival (September 19-29), or at least on the two weekends.
Interested parties can apply by August 16 with a short letter of motivation (a few sentences about their personal connection to fantastic film are sufficient) at filmbildung@oesterreichische-filmakademie.at.
The GEN SLASH Youth Jury is a joint project of the SLASH Film Festival and the Austrian Film Academy.
