For the 17th time, SLASH Film Festival is inviting fans of fantasy, horror, and offbeat cinema to gather for its fall event from September 23 to October 4. Over the course of twelve days (one more than in previous years), highlights of current international genre films, as well as classics and rediscovered gems, will be shown on the screens at Filmcasino, Metro Kinokulturhaus, Gartenbaukino (opening), and Schikaneder Kino (retrospective special).
With the release of this year’s festival trailer, the countdown begins to the second-largest genre event in the German-speaking world: Director Klara Rabl and the team around the Fleischwolf Kollektiv transport us—along with the protagonist—into a fantastical cosmos beyond the freezer, lovingly brought to life using practical, digital, and stop-motion effects.
