The New York Ripper
Lo squartatore di New York | Lucio Fulci | IT 1982 | 93 Min | DCP
Part of A Night to Dismember
A serial killer is terrorizing New York. His victims: exclusively women. His weapons of choice: anything sharp, from razor blades to broken bottles. His MO: lurking, slashing, stabbing his victims to a bloody pulp. His identifying features: probably left-handed, croaking voice. Lieutenant Williams, a human wreck in uniform, takes to the streets of a rancid, gray Gotham basically made of live sex shows, deserted subway stations, morgues, and grimy back alleys. Another high point in the oeuvre of anarcho-auteur and super-surrealist Lucio Fulci! (Olaf Möller)
