Scaredy Cat

Well, great. Something’s gone horribly wrong in the cinematic multiverse. When young playwright Madoka heads to the movies for a little distraction, she winds up watching a film about young musician Kazuma, who has gone to the movies for a little distraction—and vice versa. Before long, they realize that they are both protagonists in movie serials flickering across interconnected screens. Even the promotional flyers are already teasing the next installments of their stories! Our brains may need a moment to catch up with Makoto Ueda’s dimensional acrobatics, but once they do, the madness really kicks in—to the detriment of the poor technician dispatched to patch up this vibrantly quirky bedlam.
