Bagworm

Oliver Bernsen | US 2026 | 96 Min | DCP

Mildly put, life’s a shitshow for hammer salesman Carroll. Mourning his ex, he scares off potential dates with his catastrophic ruminations, his apartment is in a grotesque state of disrepair, nobody wants to buy his tools, and when he steps on a rusty nail, his mental ailments acquire a physical counterpart. A perfect time for a bachelor party in Las Vegas. Peter Fall’s eerily affectless performance is the putrid nucleus of this surreal, venomously funny, gorgeously grimy psychogram. As the credits roll, you’ll feel the urge to scrub your skin—or, better yet, get a tetanus shot. (Matthias Eckkrammer)
