Alien tentacle sex meets trauma tragedy: Besties Joey and Craig depend on each other. When they suddenly find themselves apartment-less, they have no choice but to move in with Joey’s ex, Brian. And Brian is not only attractive but also an extraterrestrial with the gift of erasing fear through the power of touch. Soon Joey and Craig are addicted to Brian, his sexual acumen, his power. But lurking behind his charm is a dark truth. Inspired by pinku eiga, the Japanese exploitation cinema of the 1960s and ’70s, queer American filmmaker Addison Heimann (Hypochondriac) mixes surreal psychosexual horror with satirical relationship drama. The result is bizarre and gory—and intensely delightful. (Leonie Markovics)
