Méliès d’argent

SLASH is part of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, whose mission it is to promote European fantastic cinema. In 2026, SLASH will not only award the Méliès d’argent to a short film, but also—for the first time—to a European feature film, qualifying them for the Méliès d’or at the Sitges Film Festival.

Jonas Govaerts (BE)

is a Belgian film, television, and music video director known for the slasher Cub (2014) and the surreal action-comedy H4Z4RD (SLASH 2022). Most recently, he directed the crime series Amsterdam Empire (2025). Outside of film, Jonas is an accomplished musician and has released several albums with Belgian band The Hickey Underworld.

Michael Gülzow (DE)

studied media art and experimental film at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Muthesius University of Fine Arts in Kiel. He is a freelance artist and filmmaker based in Vienna. His film The Blind Spot of Perception was screened at the 2025 SLASH Film Festival, among other venues.

Klara Rabl (AT)

is a writer and director. Driven by a passion to push the boundaries of genres and media, she creates projects at the intersection of film, theatre, and digital space. She is currently developing her body-horror feature debut Kill Your Darlings, whose treatment was awarded at SLASH Campfire Tales in 2024.
