Mandrake | Lynne Davison | UK 2022 | 85 Min | DCP

In a small house, damp and frosty, tucked away in the deep dark woods, lives “Bloody” Mary Laidlaw. She did twenty years for killing her husband with an axe. Probation officer Cathy tries to help the loner get her bearings in the real world again, but when two children disappear, the villagers are soon convinced that Bloody Mary is behind it. Lynne Davison’s occult folklore-infused horror thriller is a mighty sinister affair. The story of a mother’s unconditional love—told in grisly detail.
