A hard hitting commentary on a divided world: after a number of days of severe professional as well as personal strife, the millenial Olive intends to calm down and re-orientate herself on the countryside. Unfortunately, the landlord of the holiday home turns out to be a psychopathic baby boomer, who lives out his hatred for an ever-changing world through horrific acts. Richard Bates Jr. is as intelligent as he is an impertinent seismograph of contemporary US-American culture: Robert Patrick shines in Tone-Deaf as a radicalized citizen in a satirical game of cat and mouse that includes both the abysses of social media, as well as classic horror thriller elements, which make for a glaring, unabashed result.
